Myrtle’s Folly
Myrtle’s Folly is one of the most whimsical and unforgettable dahlias ever bred—famous for its explosion of color and wildly frilled petals. Blooms are typically 6–8 inches across, giving a true dinnerplate effect, yet with a playful, airy feel due to its lacy petal form.
The coloring is a joyful blend of hot pink, coral, peach, and soft golden-orange undertones, often shifting as the flower matures. No two blooms look exactly alike—some lean brighter pink, others more apricot—with a glowing, sunset-like center.
The petals are long, narrow, incurved at the base, and then twist and curl outward into a loose, shaggy mass, giving the bloom a tousled, almost feathered look.
Plants grow tall, bloom generously, and make dramatic cut flowers.
